Ltd. is a part of the 64 year old Allstate Group involved in Refrigeration Systems & Gases, Industrial Transformers, Conversion of Jumbo Rolls of Photographic Color Paper and Graphic Art Film, Document Imaging, Sports & Leisure equipment and leasing of Real Estate, Information Technology and Media. Operations at Trafo Power Pvt. Ltd. are governed by Mr. P.K. Mukherjee, a dynamic personality having over 37 years of technical expertise in manufacturing Transformers including 9 years of stay in General Electric Co. Ltd. as Production Manager, India and under the dynamic leadership of our CEO Mr.M.N.Pattar.

Trafo’s factory at Moshi , Pune, having built up area of 10,000 sq. ft. Trafo’s manufacturing facilities are one of the finest in India and equipped with modern machineries and testing facilities suitable for manufacturing of transformers up to 10000 KVA, 33 KV. Trafo’s transformers conform to the latest Indian Standard specification 2026, IEC-76 and BS-171.

Pursuing the quest to achieve unmatched quality and reliability standards, Trafo Power Pvt. Ltd. started manufacturing Power & Distribution Transformers in 1974. Originally known as J B Electricals, the unit produced mainly for BSES (Bombay Suburban Electric Supply, now Reliance Energy Ltd.). Gradually with a futuristic vision it started working under the name of Trafo Power Pvt. Ltd. in 1984.

Year 1988 established a landmark as Trafo entered into technical and marketing tie-up with M/s Crompton Greaves. This joint venture of technical expertise and the brains behind the designs marked our footsteps all over India under the brand “Crompton Greaves”. Over the time Trafo also entered into agreements with Kirloskar Power Equipments Ltd. and ultimately decided to market the products under the brand ‘Trafo’.

Today, Trafo manufactures Power and Distribution Transformers with ratings from 25 KVA to 10000 KVA & up to 33 KV. Trafo also specializes in transformers for wind energy applications. Special types like Auto-Transformers, Lighting Transformers, Dry Type Transformers, Furnace Transformers, Wound Core Type Transformers and few others are also manufactured on demand and customized to order preference.
